Somatic Inquiry is a practice in which, from a place of awareness and presence, we connect with the deeply held and repressed sensations, feelings, beliefs, shadow projections, and emotions stored in our body and give them a voice to be fully felt and expressed. Many of us spent have spent our lives in different spiritual pursuits in an attempt get away from our painful programming. This work aims to remedy that very understandable impulse, and instead bring us to a place of openness and acceptance of all our painful aspects, including grief, hurt, anger/rage, hatred, shame, and most of all, fear. The irony is that the more we turn toward these repressed emotions, the more freedom and clarity can come in their wake. We are no longer held hostage by our constant conditioning of trying to suppress them and we begin to feel a newfound flow of ease in our bodies and minds. We find ourselves more in tune with our natural state of free expression.

This KI Map outlines the three dimensions in which we will spend our time navigating.

The practice I use is called The Kiloby Inquiries (KI) which were co-developed by Scott Kiloby & Dan McLintock. This awareness-based somatic processing practice was born out the recognition of the harm that can come from spiritual bypassing. To learn more about it, please visit www.kiloby.com.

Sessions usually last about an hour and fifteen minutes and take place over Zoom. We can work together for one session if you’d like to try it out and experience it for the first time. However I strongly recommend purchasing a package of sessions in order to really dive in and allow this practice to root over time. As we explore together, the focus will be on teaching you the tools so that you can learn how to self-inquire and eventually feel empowered to support yourself. As this work can bring about a deep energetic shift, I recommend setting aside some time after a session for rest and integration.
